You may remember that the sale of the iPad in China was stopped because a local company is said to own the iPad trademark. Proview, the company had an IPAD in its lineup which was ironically an iMac clone.
The latest development in the story is that the Pudong New Area People?s Court in Shanghai rejected the injunction against Apple. On the other hand, Apple have already paid for worldwide rights of the iPad including those of Proview Taiwan and Shenzhen.
No final decision has been made by the Chinese court yet because Proview didn?t present enough evidence to back up the injunction.
To make things more interesting, Proview just filed a case against Apple in the US, saying there was deception in the purchase of the iPad trademark by Apple.
