Marish Articles ? Protect Your Car With Good Auto Insurance

Motor vehicle coverage is for more than just the body of your car. Auto insurance not only protects you, but it protects other people as well. When choosing a policy, make sure you pick one that covers all of your needs. The following tips will assist you in getting the most out of your car insurance.

Certainly your premiums will be higher than those of someone with an unblemished record, but each insurance company has its own parameters for determining premiums. There are a few insurance companies out there that try to get better insurance rates for drivers that don?t have a perfect record.

Trade in your sports car for a more moderate vehicle. If you drive a sports car, you can expect to pay a higher policy cost. An every day car is a good way to go. If you have a motor that is large, it will cost more for insurance. Sports cars are likely to be stolen more often. Because of this they are more expensive to insure.

You should reexamine your policy every time you renew your insurance. Make sure to keep your personal information updated on your policy. Changing jobs, for instance, may save you money if you drive less than you did at your old job.

When switching insurance providers, cancel your old policy, and be sure to keep it in writing. If you do it by phone and it doesn?t get recorded properly, they will send you a new bill. When you don?t pay it, it may get reported as a policy that lapsed because of non-payment. This can affect your credit score and your ability to get insurance in the future.

If you have a safe driving record, you may be eligible for discounts. If you drive well and do not get tickets, there is a good chance that you will qualify for a discount for being a good driver. Lousy driving costs unnecessary money. You can have lower premiums if you are a safer driver.

Don?t take the first cheap quote you find. It may be that you get what you pay for, though it is possible that you have indeed found a true bargain. Basing your decision on the price alone is not a good idea. You must also learn about the insurer and analyze all facets of the insurance policy to make sure it?s right for you.

There are many options which can protect you far beyond the minimum that is legally required. Even though these may cost you a bit more, the peace of mind they will give you will be worth it. Uninsured motorist coverage protects you when you suffer damages to your vehicle or yourself that are caused by an uninsured driver.

Using the tips and information that you learned from this article, and have another look at your policy. You might see that there are ways your policy can be altered, and you can make sure you are covered for everything that you should be.

Principles of Military Service Inspire A New Sarasota Air Conditioning Company, Veteran Air

Air Conditioning and Heating inspired by the virtues of integrity, respect and honor comes to southwest Florida in a big way! Military Veterans are the prime inspiration behind a new air conditioning and heating company named Veteran Air.

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) October 17, 2012

Veteran Air, a Sarasota Air Conditioning company, servicing Manatee County and Southwest Florida, is founded by longtime area Veteran and resident Kevin Henault.

Veteran Air builds all of its company policies around the principles Henault learned to hold dear as a veteran whose grandfather, father, brother and son all served in the military.

?Whether it?s AC Repair in Sarasota or AC Duct Cleaning in Myakka City, I want my company to be known as the ?go-to guys,? ?Henault said. ?I want people to have confidence in my company?s competence.?

Henault decided to start his own Sarasota Air Conditioning and Heating Company after working for 20 years in the business. His goal is to build a lasting sense of trust in his company by emphasizing the qualities of integrity, respect and honor.

Among the key policies Henault has built into Veteran Air are:

  • A commitment to always provide customers the option of repairing or replacing their heating and air conditioning units. ?I want to give my customers the opportunity to make an educated decision,? he says.
  • A commitment to always inform customers of repairs their units are likely to need within the coming six months. ?I?m showing respect for the money they?re about to pay today,? Henault says.
  • An assurance that all Veteran Air technicians have a minimum five years of air conditioning and heating experience, and
  • A guarantee that technicians will always leave customers? homes free of fingerprints, shoeprints, or any debris or loose parts associated with Veteran Air?s work.

In addition to epitomizing the key qualities of military veterans, Veteran Air honors veterans with a program that provides free and discounted products and services to military veterans.

Air conditioning and heating customers have the option of donating to the fund, which has already helped two veterans, including Iraqi War veteran Aaron Cornelius. Cornelius lost his sight in 2008 when a bomb was remotely detonated beneath him during his service in Iraq.

?It?s a wonderful thing to have people and companies that appreciate your service and have real patriotism,? Cornelius says. ?They are truly compassionate, and I feel I can trust them.?

Veteran Air serves both residential and commercial customers with affordable Air Conditioning and Heating solutions of all sizes. The company is on call 24 hours a day with 100% guaranteed service by visiting http://www.veteranac.com or calling 941-404-1788.

Sisters share story of battle against breast cancer

Every year, roughly 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Forty-thousand die.

As part of breast cancer awareness month, WFMZ is bringing you a comprehensive look at the disease through the eyes of one local family.

It's the story of two sisters who discovered breast cancer doesn't care who you are or what your family has been through.

Like a lot of sisters, Chrissy and Deb Beitelman can recall a childhood rich with shared memories -- opening Christmas presents, clowning around for the camera and maintaining a healthy sibling rivalry that kept their parents on their toes.

But it wasn't until Chrissy got married in 2009, and the sisters were closer than ever, that the duo discovered they were in for the battle of their lives.

When Chrissy arrived home from her honeymoon, her parents seemed morose and vague.

"They just said call your sister wants to talk to you," said Chrissy.

It was a conversation the sisters would never forget. At 33, Deb had stage two triple negative breast cancer.

"The first thing that hits you is I'm going to die. I'm going to die, and my kids are never going to remember me, and if they do, they are going to remember me sick.," said Deb, who had a mass in her left breast and tested positive for the breast cancer gene.

Because gene carriers have a much higher re-occurrence of cancer, Deb opted to have both breasts removed.

"I was actually mad at her because I thought how can she do that to herself. Like, how is she going to be a woman?" said Chrissy.

Deb went through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. She had reconstructive surgery. By 2011...

"Life was getting back to normal again. I was looking normal. We all did the walk together," said Deb.

In October of that year, Deb and Chrissy celebrated Deb's recovery by walking in the Race for a Cure. The sisters named their team, Doobies Boobies, after a nickname Deb had as a child.

"She [Chrissy] had breast cancer during the walk and we didn't know it," said Deb.

Even though the sisters weren't aware of any history of breast cancer in the family, Chrissy also tested positive for the breast cancer gene.

Later, through genetic testing, they were able to trace the gene back three generations.

At that moment, Chrissy said her little sister took the wheel.

"She was like this is what my sister has to do. These are the questions we have to ask.? I was a blur at that point," said Chrissy.

"I had confidence that I'm okay. Christine would be okay, too. I wasn't scared for her. I knew it was going to be horrible," said Deb.

Deb is in remission. Chrissy had a cancerous mass in the same breast and also chose a double mastectomy. She has one more round of radiation before her re-construction kicks into full swing.

The special series on breast cancer will continue through Wednesday on 69 News at 5 and on the Regional Edition at 6.

On Wednesday night, WFMZ will host an in-studio phone bank. A panel of medical professionals will be on hand from 5 until 6:30 to answer any questions you may have about breast cancer.

(AP) ? Barbara Walters says she will interview Lindsay Lohan next month for ABC's "20/20" newsmagazine.

Walters announced on Monday's edition of her talk show, "The View," that the interview will air on Nov. 16. It paves the way for Lohan's would-be comeback project, "Liz & Dick," which premieres later that month.

The Lifetime biopic stars the 26-year-old actress as screen diva Elizabeth Taylor. It spotlights Taylor's quarter-century love affair with celebrated leading man Richard Burton, whom she married and divorced twice.

Grant Bowler, whose credits include the TV series "True Blood" and "Lost," plays Burton in the film.

Vagina Symmetry and other issues - Women's Health - MedHelp

I have a very personal, embarrassing question about my vagina. I am a 21 year old virgin and I am concerned about getting into a sexual relationship for two main reasons... (This may get a little graphic)

1. Since I hit puberty (around age 12/13), I discovered masterbation (masturbation). At that time, I learned it was simply easier to use my right hand, and so I continued to masterbate this way over the years. Only recently, did I actually look at my vagina and notice, that the left side (that I never touched) is completely tight and tucked in, and the right side (the only side i touched) was hanging looser. It is not hanging out so much that it goes out of the lips, but it is a considerable difference. Additionally, my clitoral hood it tilted to the left side... and while it seems logical to reverse this problem simply by touching the other side to balance it out, the other side is so tight that it kind of hurts to rub.

2. My vagina in general is very small. I couldn't fit 2 fingers in if I tried... and additionally my hymen, while it does have a normal hole, it appears to be about 3, maybe 4/5 mm thick, and it is very painful to put any pressure on.

my questions are:

1. about the vagina asymmetry, is this a problem or repulsive for most men???is it very uncommon? would most men notice this?

2. If my hymen is THIS thick and sensitive, do you think a gyno would be able to remove it for me through surgery, or do you have to have that special type of hymen where no hole exists at all to be eligible for this kind of surgery.

either way, I can't have sex until I solve these problems.

Join us for the 2nd Annual World Mental Health Day Blog Party ? Oct ...

World Mental Health Day blog partyNext week, on October 10th, we?re celebrating World Mental Health Day, and we?d like you to join us.

World Mental Health Day is promoted by the World Health Organization to help raise awareness about mental health issues. The day promotes open discussion of mental disorders, and what the world?s governments and health organizations are doing in prevention, promotion and treatment services.

This year, we?re inviting you to join us and the Carter Center?s Mental Health Program for our 2nd annual blog party on Wednesday, October 10, 2012.

Mental health is important to all of us, and we need your help to spread that message!

So how do join in the party? Read below to learn how.

The Carter Center has worked for decades in bringing together the leadership in mental health to tackle the challenges in our mental health care system. ?Mental illness affects all of us, but there are still many myths and misconceptions about these disorders,? said former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, who founded the Carter Center?s Mental Health Program in 1991.

Participation in the blog party is easy. All you need do is commit to publishing a blog entry on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, about a mental health issue that?s close to your heart. It may be on the topic of access to treatment, resources or support within your local community. It may be on an individual?s personal struggle with a mental health concern. It may be about the prejudice a person faced when discussing the issue with a family member or co-worker.

Our goal is to flood the Internet with voices that can help bring mental health to discussions and readers that might not often hear about these issues.

Blog entries work best if they are relatively short (generally under 700 words, but even shorter is fine) and with a clear message or take-away. If you need help crafting your post, we?ll be happy to help.

Even if you don?t currently blog or your organization doesn?t have a blog, not to worry! We will happily publish your entry on Psych Central (just contact us at the below email address ahead of time).

Once you?ve posted your blog entry, simply let us know on Oct. 10: blogparty@psychcentral.com

The Carter CenterWe?ll be posting links to everyone?s entries throughout the day on our World Mental Health Day blog: http://blogs.psychcentral.com/mental-health-day/

Please consider joining us this year on World Mental Health Day to help increase awareness and reduce the stigma of mental health diagnosis, access to services, treatment, and support. We believe your contribution would add a valuable and important voice to the campaign.Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to your participation in this event!
